Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of presenting a green governance model with an emphasis on ethical teachings. This study was an applied study in terms of its purpose and was conducted using a mixed method (qualitative-quantitative). The statistical population of the study included all professors, experts, and academics in the field of environment in Iran who had the necessary information in the field of green governance, and 15 people were selected using the purposive sampling method until reaching the theoretical saturation point. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. The content analysis method and MAXQDA software were used to analyze the data. The initial model designed with 76 initial codes was categorized into 14 core codes (balanced and integrated management, financial resources, legal requirements, political environment, technology requirements, government policies, green governance affairs, contractual affairs, participatory affairs, civil society demands, ethical leadership style, community growth and excellence, media monitoring, and responsiveness). In order to measure the reliability of the model, the Kappa index value was calculated to be 0.758, which was at a suitable level of agreement. All 76 factors were confirmed as indicators of green governance with an emphasis on ethical teachings. Finally, the resulting model was validated and the results confirmed the validity of the model.
